As 2022 comes to an end, Lotterywest has revealed the State’s hottest spots for taking out a Division One prize this year.
The City of Stirling and Cockburn can lay claim as the home of the most Division One wins for 2022, recording seven prizes each.
The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder has once again created a new batch of millionaires with six Division One wins for 2022, which included a share in the record breaking $160 million Powerball jackpot.
Rounding off the list was the City of Wanneroo with five wins and the City of Rockingham with four.
Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said fingers were now crossed that WA could finish the year with a record.
“If a single ticket takes out Thursday’s $100 million jackpot, they’ll immediately become WA’s biggest winner and the nation’s second-biggest lottery winner ever.”
“WA has averaged more than one winner each week with 74 Division One prizes already chalked up and it would be great to add some more players to the 2022 winners tally with our final draws for the year.
“For 2022, we’ve welcomed 74 Division One winners who have claimed $40,000 right up to $63 million, but the one consistent thing is the fact their happiness is infectious.”
