Lotterywest operates according to the provisions of the Lotteries Commission Act 1990 (as amended), as a statutory authority responsible for the selling of lottery games and distributing the proceeds for the benefit of the Western Australian community.

Game Legislation

When you play Lotterywest games you agree to be bound by the Rules governing those games. If any conflict should occur between the Rules and information contained on this website, in the Lotterywest App or in a game brochure, the Rules must take precedence. Lotterywest Membership Terms and Conditions Notice

The Lotterywest Membership Terms and Conditions apply to all aspects of your transactions with us. To register as a player, you must read, understand and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Amendments were made to the Lotterywest Membership Terms and Conditions, which take effect from 17 December 2021 that enable Lotterywest members to login using their biometric identifier (such as fingerprint or facial recognition). The Terms and Conditions were amended as follows:

  • Clause 1.1 – to include a definition of biometric identifier, to update the definition of login details to include biometric identifier, and to include a definition of mobile device.
  • Clause 5 – to clarify that, after completing registration, a Lotterywest member may elect to use their biometric identifier to login instead of using a PIN (on eligible mobile devices). These changes make it clear that:
    - Lotterywest members are responsible for the biometric identifier that is registered to their mobile device;
    - Biometric identifier security features are not operated or managed by Lotterywest and Lotterywest is not liable for the use or malfunction of these security features;
    - Lotterywest does not collect, store or access biometric identifiers;
    - If a Lotterywest member uses their biometric identifier to login, it should be the only biometric identifier stored on their mobile device;
    - Before selling or disposing their mobile device, Lotterywest members should delete the Lotterywest App and disable the ability to login using a biometric identifier; and
    - If a Lotterywest member’s mobile device is lost or stolen, they should contact their mobile device manufacturer for advice about remotely disabling the ability to login with their biometric identifier.

As provided in clause 4.5 of the Lotterywest Membership Terms and Conditions, you will be deemed to have received this Notice of amended Terms and Conditions on 17 December 2021.

Other amendments were made to the Lotterywest Membership Terms and Conditions, which took effect from 15 July 2021, relating to the privacy provisions, Paypal, E-wallets, residency, and the storage of credit card details.

Your Privacy is Important to Us - Lotterywest Privacy Policy Notice

We are committed to upholding high standards of privacy, data protection and maintain our accreditation through the World Lottery Association's Security Control Standard and appropriate State and Federal laws. Amendments were made to the Lotterywest Privacy Policy which take effect on 15 July 2021 to clarify how Lotterywest deals with personal information. The main amendments to the Privacy Policy are as follows:

  • How we use your information: Clarification that Lotterywest may use your personal information for marketing, including via social media.
  • Who we disclose your information to:
    • Clarification that your personal information may be used to send you marketing or promotional material either by Lotterywest or on behalf of Lotterywest;
    • Clarification that Lotterywest may provide your personal information to external service providers we use to assist in managing, operating and marketing our business and business systems, including to media providers (including social media providers); and
    • Clarification of when Lotterywest may disclose your information to other organisations.

The amended Lotterywest Privacy Policy comes into effect on 15 July 2021.
