Turning a small win into a big win!

A northern suburbs man has turned his $40 Powerball win from last week into $700,000 after he decided to use the prize money to buy a ticket for the Saturday Lotto Draw over the weekend.

The Division 1 winning ticket was among seven across the country to match the winning numbers and sold from Carramar Lottery Centre & News in Morley.

“After winning a small amount of money from last week’s Powerball, I decided to use the prize money to buy a ticket for Saturday Lotto – I’m really glad I made that decision,” he said.

“I’m definitely feeling lucky at the moment, I’ve already got my ticket for the $160 million Powerball jackpot for Thursday and hoping my luck continues.”

Lotterywest spokesperson Alana Christian said it’s a big week for Lotto.

“Powerball has been good to WA recently, with two Powerball Division 1 wins in the last 12 months seeing WA players share in over $140 million.”
