The Perth Royal Show begins today, with ticket discounts helping make the experience more affordable for Western Australian families.
The Cook Government is supporting families to experience the magic of show day, providing $2.2 million to provide half-price tickets for children, students and concession card holders.
Admission for children under 16 years, students and concession card holders will be discounted to half price when accompanying a paying adult, while entry for children under four is free.
The investment is also supporting the hugely popular nightly fireworks and agriculture-themed drone show.
Last year's fireworks show attracted up to 70,000 people each night, and this year's evening entertainment is anticipated to be the biggest in the show's history.
The Cook Government's support for the show also includes a $950,000 Lotterywest grant for the show's volunteer program, inclusive ticketing initiatives, improving accessibility for people with a disability, strengthening cultural recognition at the show, and enhancing popular family friendly attractions.
