WA has another missing millionaire

As the search continues for the owner of Western Australia’s $40 million Powerball prize, WA is celebrating another Division One win thanks to Wednesday Lotto.

Last night’s draw created another WA millionaire, with a ticket from Kelmscott Newsagency matching the numbers to a $1 million Division One prize.

Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said this win now makes five missing Division One winners for WA.

“There are times when Division One winners call into Lotterywest immediately after their win, while others take a little longer to claim their prize,” Mr Mooney said.

“Every winner is unique, however, to have five missing Division One winners for the past couple of weeks is unusual.

“Wednesday’s win now means WA is home to 21 Division One winners for 2023, who are now sharing in more than $74 million.”

The unclaimed prizes for WA are:

  • Two tickets from Saturday Lotto’s draw on 11 February 2023 - Two tickets purchased from Pharmacy 777 in East Perth, each worth $1.25 million.
  • Thursday’s $40 million Powerball draw on 2 March 2023
  • Saturday’s Super 66 $127,000 prize from Katanning Lottery Centre, 4 March 2023.
  • Wednesday Lotto’s $1 million prize draw on 8 March 2023 purchased from Kelmscott Newsagency.

Lotterywest is the only State Government owned and operated lottery in Australia, where all the profits are returned to the WA community.
