WA community the big winner in $100 million jackpot

Three tickets from across the nation have won a share of Powerball’s $100 million Division One prize tonight.

Two winning tickets were from New South Wales and one ticket was from Queensland.

While no one in WA has matched the numbers for a Division One prize, 375,612 WA players took home prizes across the other Divisions.

This included one Division Two winner worth $47,444, which was purchased via Lotterywest online.

“While WA didn’t take home the big prize this time, Lotterywest has raised over $14.3 million to support the local community through our grants program," Lotterywest spokesperson Sarah Dawson said.

"This is all thanks to players who purchased tickets across the five-week Powerball jackpot run."

Lotterywest is the only State Government owned and operated lottery in Australia, where all the profits are returned to the WA community.

The next chance for players to win big is this Saturday’s $40 million Megadraw held on New Year’s Eve.

Tickets are available until 6pm on draw day from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.
