Powerball raises millions for WA community

A ticket bought in Victoria has taken out tonight’s entire $80 million Powerball jackpot

Although no Western Australian was lucky enough to take out tonight’s multimillion dollar jackpot, around 345,000 WA players picked up a prize across the other divisions.

This included one WA player who collected a Division Two win worth almost $110,000.

That ticket was sold from The Lucky Charm Secret Harbour.

“Thanks to WA players, around $14 million has been raised from this six week jackpot run,” Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said.

“This money will support the WA community through Lotterywest's grants program,”

"When you play Lotterywest games, the money stays in WA.”

The last financial year alone saw more than $313 million returned to WA community groups.

The next chance for WA players to win big is in next Tuesday’s $10 million OZ Lotto draw.

Tickets can be bought until 6pm day of draw from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.
