Players unusual Slikpik purchase led to Saturday Lotto win

A man from Perth’s eastern suburbs who abandoned his regular numbers and opted for a Slikpik 12, is now celebrating a Division One win worth $832,394.

The winner, in his 50s, purchased the Saturday Lotto ticket from Newburn Newsagency in High Wycombe over a month ago.

“I usually choose my own numbers, I have a few up my sleeve that I like to pick from,” he said.

“The store was busy and I was in a rush, so I just grabbed a Slikpik 12.”

The spur of the moment decision resulted in the Division One win.

The winner waited more than a month before coming forward to claim his prize, after a busy work schedule alongside being unwell.

He plans to save the money towards his future and help his family.

This good news follows last weekend's Superdraw that created two WA Division One wins

The Superdraw saw more than $3.1 million from ticket sales going towards Lotterywest’s grants program to support organisations like community support provider Uniting WA.

Uniting WA are using a Lotterywest grant to help people in need and become more efficient in the way they deliver services that reduce vulnerability and disadvantage across our community.

The next chance for WA players is in tonight’s $20 million Powerball draw.

Tickets are available until 6pm in-store, online and via the Lotterywest App.
