Pinjarra home to WA’s newest millionaire

The search is on for the owner of a Saturday Lotto ticket sold in Pinjarra, which is now worth more than $1.3 million.

The ticket from The Lucky Charm Pinjarra was one of four Division One winners across the nation who shared in Saturday Lotto’s $5 million prize.

Office Manager at The Lucky Charm Pinjarra, Katinka Wyllie, said the team are excited about the win, with the store’s last Division One prize sold in April 2020.

“Pinjarra is abuzz today,” she said.

“Everyone’s wondering who the winner is, it could be a local or someone passing through.”

Across the State, ten WA tickets have matched the numbers for Division Two wins of more than $12,700 each.

The Division Two tickets were sold from:

  • Greenwood Village Newsagency
  • Napoleon Papier and Co
  • Reuben's News
  • Sunset News & Lottery Centre
  • The Kwinana Hub Lottery Centre & News
  • The Lucky Charm Southern River
  • Warnbro News and Gifts
  • Lotterywest online
  • Lotterywest network syndicate x2

Lotterywest spokesperson Emma Rogers said it’s fantastic to hear about the excitement a Lotto win creates in a small town like Pinjarra.

“This win follows another small town victory earlier this month, with a Three Springs woman who is making her caravanning dreams come true thanks her Top Prize winning scratchie.

“So far this year, eight West Aussies have shared in more than $8.1 million in Division One prizes,” she said.

WA players have another chance to win in this week’s $12 million Powerball jackpot.

Tickets are available in-store, online and via the Lotterywest App until 6pm Thursday.
