Perth man's $1.6 million mobile phone

A Dawesville man has walked around with Perth's most expensive mobile phone for almost a week, with a Saturday Lotto Division One winning ticket stashed inside his phone case.

The Slikpik 30 was a spur-of-the-moment purchase from The Lucky Charm Noranda and is worth more than $1.6 million.

The winner said he realised he still had the ticket almost a week later, and after being discretely told in-store that he was a winner he immediately set off for Lotterywest Head Office.

"It’s crazy to think I had the winning ticket at my fingertips all week," the winner said.

"I’m still numb and it’s all been a blur."

After being asked what he'll do with the prize money, the winner said his attention can turn to supporting others in need.

"I'm not a material man and I love helping people, this prize will allow me do that."

Lotterywest spokesperson Emma Rogers said in more great news for Western Australia, the state celebrated another Saturday Lotto Division One winner over the weekend.

"The winning ticket was sold from Here's Luck Lottery Centre in Cloverdale, and is now worth over $2.5 million,” she said.

The next chance for WA players to win big is in this week's $100 million Powerball jackpot on Thursday. Tickets are available in-store, online and via the app before 6pm Thursday.
