Missing Lotto ticket discovered on Perth couple’s fridge

A couple in their 40’s have finally come forward to claim November’s missing $1 million Wednesday Lotto prize, after it was sitting on their fridge for the past three weeks.

The ticket, purchased from Vaucluse Newsagency in South Perth, matched the Division One Winning Numbers on Wednesday 15 November.

The couple didn’t know a Division One ticket was sold from Vaucluse Newsagency and weren’t in a rush to check their Slikpik 12.

“It’s been on the fridge for three weeks,” they said.

“We’re in disbelief, I was crying.”

When the winners checked their ticket at another store, they were still unaware of what they’d won.

“They said to try and stay calm before they showed us the slip.

“We said if this is a joke, it’s not very funny.”

Lotterywest spokesperson Emma Rogers said 80 West Australians have scored Division One prizes this year, sharing in more than $214 million.

West Aussies have another chance to take home Wednesday Lotto’s $1 million prize tonight.

Tickets are available in-store, online and via the Lotterywest App until 6pm.
