Western Australia’s peel region has been struck by Lotto luck over the weekend thanks to a $1,145,653 ticket sold at Miami Newsagency.
The ticket, yet to be claimed, was one of five national Division One winners in Saturday night’s Lotto draw.
Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said the million-dollar win was a good sign of things to come in what’s set to be a bumper jackpot on Thursday.
“We’ll see an $80 million Powerball jackpot offered Thursday night – that’s the largest Lotto offer in Australia this year and since July last year,” she said.
“At the moment our State is averaging more than one Division One winner a week, with our tally now at 23, so let’s hope this strong run of winners continues to Thursday’s jackpot.”
Tickets for this Thursday’s $80 million Powerball jackpot are available until 6pm draw day from Lotterywest in-store, online or vis the app.
Lotterywest encourages responsible play with tickets starting from $2.40.
Syndicates are also a great option where players can share the cost of a ticket with a group of players.
