Diwali Mela has kicked off its two-day celebrations today, which are set to attract 35,000 people and involves more than 80 Indian community associations.
Led by the Indian Society of WA (ISWA), the spectacular celebration will offer the opportunity to enjoy the delights of Indian culture in the form of food, dance, art and performances.
The McGowan Government, through Lotterywest, has provided ISWA with a $60,000 grant to support event costs for this year's Diwali Mela.
