Lotterywest reveals tips for Powerball $80 million jackpot

All eyes are on tomorrow night’s whopping $80 million Powerball jackpot and Lotterywest has some handy tips and hints on how to be in with a chance to win.

Lotterywest spokesperson Lisa Williams said that Thursday’s draw was expected to sell almost 660,000 tickets across the state. That’s equivalent to one in four West Aussies.

“$80 million is the fourth largest jackpot in Powerball’s 26-year history and it would be amazing to see a WA winner take out this prize for a second time in the space of only a few months,” she said.

“Anyone with a Powerball ticket in their hands before the draw closes on at 6pm on Thursday night is in with a chance to score the $80 million prize.

“If one player takes home the entire $80 million prize, they will share the title of WA’s biggest Lotto winner in the State’s history.”

The record for WA’s largest Lotto win was set at the end of last year when a group of 55 women from a northern suburbs gym won the $80 million Powerball prize.

For those who don’t have their own set of favourite numbers, they can leave it to the machine.

Slikpik entries are randomly computer generated, saving players the stress of having to choose their own numbers. The Powerpik 7 and Slikpik 12 are two of the most popular selling tickets tickets, providing multiple entries and more chance of winning

A popular way to play Powerball is by sharing the cost of a ticket with friends, family or work mates as part of a syndicate. Syndicates not only allow players to share the cost but also to share in the joy of the win.
