Lotterywest hot tips for $120 million Powerball jackpot

Tonight’s $120 million Powerball could create Western Australian history should a WA winner take home the entire Division One prize this evening.

This is the highest jackpot we have seen since 2019, and the second largest jackpot in Australian history with almost one in two West Aussie adults expected to have an entry in the draw .

Lotterywest have crunched the numbers to produce some hot tips about the game.

Ticket types

  • The top 3 ticket types are Powerpik 7, Slikpik 12 and Slikpik 18.
  • A standard 12 game entry will see your odds of a Division One prize at around 1 in 11.2 million, however a Powerpik 7 ticket can turn these odds into 1 in 6.7 million.
  • A Powerpik ticket gives you the winning Powerball number, which increases your chances of winning as you need the Powerball number to win Division One and five of the other eight divisions. A Powerpik 7 is $24.20.
  • The 2020-21 financial year saw more than five million WA Powerball winners share in over 92 million in prizes.
  • You can increase your chances of winning by teaming up with a syndicate where you can share the cost of more games.

  • In the past five years, the most frequent winning numbers from Barrel A were 17, 7, 25, 23 and 9.
  • The most frequent winning Powerball numbers were 3, 6, 7, 10 and 19.
