The Goldfields Women's Refuge in Kalgoorlie has today received a Lotterywest grant of $450,000.
The refuge provides crisis accommodation and support services to help reduce disadvantage for women and children in the Goldfields.
The Lotterywest grant will support additional temporary accommodation in the form of townhouses, which will double the capacity of the refuge up to 72 beds and provide independence and security for the women and children accessing the refuge.
