A $4.65 million Lotterywest grant will assist the Shire of East Pilbara to build a youth and community hub in Newman to provide a culturally safe space for the community.
The Newman Youth and Community Hub project aims to provide integrated wellbeing, educational, cultural and recreational facilities to support community connection and reduce disadvantage.
The hub will provide a range of programs for young people and offer more opportunities for targeted interventions to reduce vulnerability and disadvantage and promote youth leadership.
