Could WA be sitting on a $90 million Christmas gift?

WA players are encouraged to get their $90 million OZ Lotto tickets early to avoid the fast-approaching festive season shutdown.

Tuesday’s $90 million jackpot is the second largest offered by OZ Lotto in the game’s 30-year history.

Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said players should secure their entry in the draw this week, with trading hours set to be reduced from early next week.

“It’s expected up to one in three Australian adults will have an entry for Tuesday’s $90 million draw,” he said.

“The last time OZ Lotto reached a $90 million jackpot was back in 2009, and on that occasion the volume of entries pushed the Division One prize to $106.5 million.

“It’s fitting the final OZ Lotto draw for 2023 will also be its biggest this year, and for those looking for a last-minute Christmas gift, you could be wrapping up a $90 million present.”

Tuesday’s draw has a chance to beat WA’s biggest win on record, which was set in 2021 when a group of 55 women from a northern suburbs gym claimed the entire $80 million Powerball jackpot.

The $90 million OZ Lotto draw is also an opportunity for players to join a syndicate, which is a chance to share the cost of a ticket and the joy of a win.

Tickets are available until 6pm draw day in-store, online and via the Lotterywest App.
