Christmas comes early for WA player thanks to Saturday Lotto

One Western Australian player better check their Saturday Lotto ticket twice, as WA records another Division One prize worth more than $731,000.

The prize, sold from Gateways News and Lottery Centre, is one of seven Saturday Lotto prizes that matched the numbers to a six-figure windfall across the country.

Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said nine WA players won Division Two prizes, enjoying an early present the week before Christmas.

“If you have a to do list today and you bought a Saturday Lotto ticket from Gateways News and Lottery Centre, it doesn’t matter if you’re naughty or nice, make sure you check it twice,” he said.

“It’s fantastic news that nine Division Two prizes worth between $11,400 and $8,600 will also call WA home for Christmas.”

“All eyes are now turning towards Thursday’s Powerball draw; I can’t think of a better way to head into the holiday period than with a $50 million prize.”

Lotterywest has produced a record-breaking return to the WA community for the second year in a row with more than $1 billion going back to WA in grants and prizes in the last financial year.

Tickets are available until 6pm draw day from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.
