Albany Surf Life Saving Club redevelopment begins

The $3.35 million expansion and redevelopment of the Albany Surf Life Saving Club will begin tomorrow.

This important community project is proudly supported by the Cook Labor Government, which has contributed $2.8 million in funding to make it possible.

Improved community safety at Albany's popular Middleton Beach is a key outcome of the redevelopment, which will boost lifesaving and water safety operations through a centralised lifesaving hub, along with better access to motorised water safety equipment.

The Cook Labor Government provided $1.6 million for the project through an initial 2021 election commitment, along with an additional $500,000 as part of the 2023/24 mid-year budget review, together with a further $704,000 from Lotterywest - bringing the State's contribution to more than $2.8 million.
