A chance of history for tonight $60 million Powerball draw

There’s a chance a WA ticket could set a record for 2023, following tonight’s $60 million Powerball draw.

To date, the biggest WA prize for the year has been set by a Swan Valley family who took home $40 million in March after purchasing a Slikpik 18 from Springs News in Bennett Springs.

“If a single WA entry takes out tonight’s $60 million Powerball prize, it will become our biggest win for the year,” Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said.

“We’re expecting around 580,000 tickets to be sold in WA, with sales to peak between four and five this evening, with close to 55,000 tickets sold in that hour.

“WA has seen some success when it comes to syndicates, which is a great way to have more games in the draw within a budget.

“April this year saw a syndicate of golf mates share in $30 million, while winning a life changing prize in WA is what we want, being able to share the win with family and friends makes it that bit more special.”

Tickets for tonight's $60 million Powerball draw are available in-store, online and via the App before 6pm Thursday.
