$80 million Powerball jackpot almost here

There’s only one sleep until an incredible $80 million Powerball jackpot will go up for grabs, the largest to be offered across Australia this year.

The multi-million dollar Division One prize pool is the result of no-one in the nation being able to match the game’s winning numbers for the past four weeks.

Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman said history could be made following the draw.

“The highest Lotto prize to be won in our State currently sits at $50 million which has only been won once almost six years ago,” she said.

“But this could all change tomorrow night and we could see the Lotto history books re-written if a Western Australian player takes home the Division One prize.”

Although no-one has been able to take home the Division One prize over the jackpot run, over 429,000 WA players have taken home a Powerball prize across the other Divisions sharing in $7.5 million.

Ms Coleman said some of the busiest locations players were flocking to for Powerball tickets included Perth’s CBD, Morley, Cloverdale and Mandurah.

“Not only is Mandurah proving a popular place to buy Powerball tickets, but we’re also waiting to hear from winner who purchased a ticket worth $1.145 million just up the road at Miami Newsagency in Falcon,” she said.

Tickets for tomorrow’s $80 million Powerball jackpot are available from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.

Over the last four-week jackpot run, almost $7 million has been raised for the WA community, with tomorrow night’s draw expected to raise a further $4 million.

Lotterywest encourages responsible play.
