2022 - the year for Monday Lotto millionaires

WA has doubled it’s 2021 record for Monday Lotto wins just six months into the year after last night’s draw produced the state’s eighth Monday millionaire.

Purchased from Lakelands Newsagency in Yangebup the ticket is worth $1 million.

Store Owner Asha Mohite said she’s over the moon with excitement.

“It’s awesome! I have a few regulars who play Monday Lotto, so I am hoping it’s one of them,” she said.

“It’s a very nice feeling to make someone happy and even better to feel like you’ve contributed to that in some way.”

Last night’s draw also produced two Division Two winning tickets worth more than $5,000 sold at newsXpress Armadale Central and online.

Monday’s win comes off the back of WA recording a Super66 Division One win on Saturday 11 June valued at over $58,000 and sold at Royal Perth Hospital Newsagency.

Store Owner Frederick Notargiacomo said a lotto win always creates a happy buzz around the hospital.

“It’s likely the ticket belongs to one of the staff here at the hospital,” he said.

“Which is just fantastic, it’s a great reward for those who dedicate their lives to helping others.”
