Make dad’s day: Lotto jackpots reach $80 million leading up to Father’s Day

The chance to become dad’s favourite in time for Father’s Day kicks off tonight, with Powerball offering a cool $60 million jackpot, followed by Saturday’s $20 million Superdraw.

Tonight’s $60 million jackpot also offers the chance to break Western Australian Lotto history, if a single ticket from WA takes from out the entire Division One prize. The largest Division One prize won in WA is a $50 million Powerball prize sold in 2015.

Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman said while thousands of locals might be last minute shopping in the lead up to Father’s Day, local Lotterywest stores across the state were offering the perfect gift for dad - a $35 Combo Pack.

“The $35 Combo Pack is available at all Lotterywest stores until 6.00pm tonight and includes entries in Powerball’s $60 million jackpot tonight and Saturday’s $20 million Superdraw.”

“That’s two chances to make dad’s dreams come true and for you to be the favourite child.”

“We all leave dad’s present to the last minute sometimes,” she joked.

WA has seen 40 locals have the life-changing experience of winning Division One so far this year, an average of more than one a week. They have shared in more than $51 million in prize money.

When you play Lotterywest games, the money stays in WA. Last financial year, thanks to Lotterywest players, $736 million was given back to the Western Australian community through prizes and grants.

The $35 Combo Pack is available until 6.00pm tonight from Lotterywest in-store.
