With one sleep until Thursday's incredible $100 million Powerball jackpot goes up for grabs, Lotterywest has revealed a 'slikpik' as the most popular ticket type for our Division One winners this year.
So far in 2023, 53 WA ticket holders have taken out a Division One prize worth a combined $166 million, and more than 70 per cent of these tickets were on a Slikpik; a way to play where the numbers are randomly selected.
An 18 game Slikpik made up seven Division One winners, closely followed by 12 and 50 game Slikpiks, each creating six winners.
Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said a great option for the upcoming jackpot was playing as a syndicate.
“Whether you opt for a Slikpik or like to choose your numbers, our advice is to get your friends, family or work colleagues together and organise a syndicate,” he said.
“Not only can you share the cost of the ticket and include more games, but it’s more fun playing as a team and sharing in the joy if you win.”
In March, WA was home to a $40 Million Powerball win from Springs News, the win was claimed thanks to a Slikpik 18.
Tickets for Thursday’s $100 million Powerball jackpot are available in-store, online and via the app before 6pm draw day.
Thanks to this Powerball jackpot run, Lotterywest has already raised around $12.2 million to support the WA community through our grants program.
