A group of five friends have shared in over $660,000 after claiming a Division One ticket in Saturday Lotto.
The friends, who have been playing Saturday Lotto together for the past 12 years as a way of keeping in touch, couldn’t believe the result.
“It was 2am and I was sitting at my computer when I saw the results,” the ticket organiser said.
“We each checked the ticket multiple times.”
“We couldn’t believe we’d finally won after playing Lotto as a group for 12 years,” he said.
After celebrating their win over dinner, the group have started thinking about how they will spend their winnings, with new teeth and an upgraded car so far on the wish list.
The group’s winning ticket was a System 9 ticket and was purchased from Swan View Newsagency.
The next chance for players to win big is in tomorrow night’s $20 million OZ Lotto jackpot.
Tickets are available from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app until 6pm draw day.
