A northern suburbs woman found herself more than $214,000 richer after a display syndicate ticket in Saturday’s $30 million Megadraw caught her attention.
“The newsagency is right across from my local supermarket, and I noticed the draw was for $30 million so I wandered over,” she said.
“There was this display ticket on the front counter flapping in the wind, and it was for a syndicate for the Megadraw.
“I’d never bought into a syndicate before, but I just felt drawn to it for some reason. Looking back now I think it was a sign.”
The retail syndicate from Heights Lottery Centre was among the three WA tickets that matched the winning numbers in Saturday’s Megadraw, with each Division One ticket worth $2.1 million.
Upon confirming she’d won; the northern suburbs woman’s first thought was to celebrate with her dog.
“I was in complete shock...I said to my dog, ‘I’m off to Lotterywest, but I’ll be home soon with a big juicy bone,” she said.
“She’s 16 years old and on all sorts of medication, so this win will be a huge help in looking after her.”
This week, players have the chance to win big with Saturday Lotto’s $10 million special event.
Tickets are available until 6pm draw day from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.
