A West Australian welcomed the new financial year with a share in the Division One prize for Saturday Lotto's special $10 million event on the weekend.
The 1 July draw saw the new WA millionaire take home a $1.25 million Division One prize.
The winning ticket was among eight across the nation that matched the six Winning Numbers and was purchased through a Lotterywest online membership.
Lotterywest spokesperson Emma Rogers said 2023 has seen close to 50 West Aussies sharing in more than $138 million worth of Division One prizes.
"So far this year, the tally of West Aussies taking home Division One prizes has jumped to 46," she said.
"It works out to an average of almost two winner per week, we'd love to see this continued for the second half of 2023."
WA players have another chance to join the winners list this Tuesday with OZ Lotto's $10 million jackpot.
The State's latest OZ Lotto winning ticket saw a group of eight friends share in the $30 million prize in April 2023.
Tickets are available before 6pm on Tuesday, in-store, online and via the Lotterywest app.
