'Check your ticket man’: Bassendean million dollar ticket

Western Australia can add another Division One player to its growing winners list, thanks to a Saturday Lotto ticket sold from Bassendean.

The ticket sold from Eden Hill Newsagency, matched the winning numbers 39, 31, 40, 34, 9 and 1 and is worth a cool $1,048,502.

Owner of Eden Hill Newsagency Raj Karia had some simple advice for customers who recently bought a ticket from his store.

“Check your ticket man,” Mr Karia said.

“We’ve had quite a few people come in to check their ticket, but no luck so far.

“It’s already an exciting time of the year, but this news certainly adds an extra kick in the right direction.”

Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman said the past month has seen an influx of WA winners.

“In the past month we’ve had seven Division One winners,” Ms Coleman said.

“We hope this trend continues ahead of our $30 million Megadraw at the end of the year.

“If you’re stuck on what present to buy this holiday season, pick up a ticket for the Megadraw on December 28 and it may turn into the best present ever.”

Thanks to our players the past year has seen six Lotterywest grants support not for profit organisations in Bassendean.
