Western Australia has started this record breaking Lotto week in winning fashion, with a syndicate taking out Saturday’s Superdraw Division One prize.
The 10 shares sold at The Lucky Charm in Bull Creek and Noranda are set to share in more than $1.4 million.
The good news doesn’t stop there, with another Division One Saturday Lotto winner coming forward to Lotterywest HQ. His ticket was sold at Waikiki Village Newsagency.
The winner, a man in his 40’s from Cooloongup, saw his Slikpik 18 ticket turn into more than $774,000.
“I only started playing Lotto six months ago, but I’ll keep playing as it seems like a pretty easy experience,” the winner joked.
“I just came back from a finishing trip, so perhaps a more extensive trip is on the cards.”
Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said the flurry of wins could be a sign WA is in for a record breaking week.
“Powerball has jackpotted to $110 million, this is record breaking territory,” Mr Mooney said.
“Our most recent Saturday Lotto Division One winners were part of a syndicate, so just imagine sharing a $110 million Powerball win with family, friends or work mates.
“We’re also waiting on another winner from Karratha to claim their $790,203 prize, which was drawn in May.”
When you play with Lotterywest, there’s a ripple effect that benefits the entire community.
