The Saturday Lotto Superdraw on 9 May saw two Western Australians become the owners of what could be the best Mother's Day present ever - a Division 1 prize!
The winning tickets are worth just over $1.8 million each, and were sold from Kwinana Hub Lottery Centre and The Lucky Charm in Secret Harbour. A further 17 WA players took home a Division 2 Saturday Lotto prize in the 9 May Draw, each set to pocket close to $10,000.
A short queue and last-minute decision to buy their ticket has seen our Kwinana winners become millionaires! While grocery shopping, the winner said she noticed a $20 million Superdraw sign outside Kwinana Hub Lottery Centre and News.
"I said to my son if the line is short we will get one, if not never mind," she said.
"I have retraced my steps so many times after discovering I had won, asking what if?"

Saturday Lotto winners celebrate in style
In April, a Coogee couple celebrated their $2.8 million Saturday Lotto Division One win with takeaway pizza. The couple said retirement was looking more comfortable knowing they no longer needed to worry about bills.
Meanwhile a Hamilton Hill couple who stayed true to the same birthday numbers for more than 35 years have landed another Lotto windfall!
The couple's ticket is now worth $1.3 million, but this wasn't the first time these birthday numbers had paid off.
"We managed to win Division Two with the same numbers around 35 years ago and did say that one day we'd win the big one."
In October 2019, a man from Munster claimed his second Division One prize. The lucky player had a $150,000 win in 2007, and has kept playing ever since in the hopes his numbers will come up again.
His patience paid off, with his second windfall making him $382,311 richer!
