WA records two more Division One wins

Western Australia’s incredible winning streak continues with two winning tickets taking home $1 million each from Monday’s Lotto on 28 February.

Across the country, three Division One tickets were sold, with the other from NSW. Both WA tickets remain unclaimed.

One of WA’s winners was produced from Wellard Square News & Gift Newspower, whilst the other was sold online.

Owner of the Wellard store, Ned Vulin, said the feeling of a win never gets old.

“We’ve sold seven winning tickets in the last 15 years, but it never gets old, there’s always a buzz right after a win,” he said.

“I hope the winner is one of my regulars. It’s always good to keep the win local.”

The win comes off the back of a Division One winning ticket in Saturday’s Lotto worth $1.4 million sold at Hutton Street Lottery Centre and Newsagency in Osborne Park.

The winning ticket belonged to a group of seven mates, known as the Red Neck Punting Club, who have been playing their hand at Lotto for six years.

“We’ve had a few wins during our time, but this is the first Division One win,” a member of the club said.

“This win will be a huge help for seven young families.”

All attention now turns to next week’s Oz Lotto that has jackpotted to $10 million. Tickets are available via Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.
