WA could make Lotto history with Powerball’s $60 million jackpot

Powerball’s $60 million jackpot could make Western Australian history should a WA winner take home the entire Division One prize in tonight’s draw.

Powerball is a jackpotting game where if no one matches up the numbers to the Division One prize it keeps jackpotting until the winning numbers are drawn.

The highest jackpot in Australian history was when Powerball reached $150 million in September last year and was shared equally between three Eastern States winners who each took home $50 million.

More than 500 tickets are expected to sell per minute during today’s busiest ticket sales hour between 4pm and 5pm tonight.

Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman said today was your last opportunity to secure the chance to win $60 million.

“It’s a life-changing amount of money and we’d be thrilled to welcome a WA winner into the Winners Room,” she said.

“The most popular ticket types for tonight’s Powerball game are a Slikpik 12, Slikpik 18 or a Powerpik which gives you the Powerball number that you need to win Division One, so make sure to grab a ticket.”

Tickets are available up until 6pm tonight and can be bought in-store, online or via the app,” she said.
