WA community the big winner in $100 million jackpot

A New South Wales ticket has taken the entire $100 million Powerball Division One prize tonight.

While no one in WA matched the numbers for a Division One prize, more than 483,000 WA players took home prizes across the other Divisions.

Lotterywest spokesperson Sarah Dawson said while WA didn’t take home the big prize this time, we raised more than $20.3 million to support the local community through our grants program.

“We recently saw the completion of 18 new homes in Fremantle for older women experiencing homelessness, which was supported by a $2.2 million Lotterywest grant,” she said.

“It’s grants like the St Pat’s My Home project that are funded thanks to the WA community playing Lotto.”

Lotterywest is the only State Government owned and operated lottery in Australia, where all available profits are returned to the WA community.

WA players will have a chance to become the State’s next millionaire in this Saturday’s $30 million Megadraw.

Tickets are available until 6pm on draw day from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app.
