Mum of three set to buy first home with Lotto win

Western Australia is on a lucky streak with another two Division One winners from the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw, totalling three Division One winners in just one week!

Lotterywest can reveal that the weekend’s winning tickets, each worth $603,397, were sold at Bedford Pharmacy and through a Lotterywest membership online.

Whilst the Bedford Pharmacy ticket remains unclaimed, a young mum of three from Cooloongup has come forward to claim the online prize.

“I’ve only been playing Lotto for a month or so for a bit of fun. I’m gobsmacked to win a prize this big!” she said.

“This is life-changing. I can now pay off my personal loans, buy my first home and go on a family holiday.”

The young mum said she will keep it real and not go over the top with any purchases, except treat her kids to some new toys.

“We had two-minute noodles for dinner last night. We were all too shocked to do anything more,” she added.

Bedford Pharmacy Store Manager, Joseph Ling, was delighted to learn they had sold their first Division One ticket under the current ownership.

“Congrats to the lucky individual, whoever they are,” Joseph said.

“May this be the first of many Division One tickets that churn through our terminals.”

WA’s Division One wining Saturday Lotto tickets are amongst seven winners nation-wide to share in the $4 million prize pool.

It brings WA’s tally of Division One winners so far this year to 35, with these winners sharing in more than $76 million worth of prize money.

Over 81,300 other WA players picked up a prize in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw, including eight Division Two winners who each collected $8,305.

Thanks to those that play Lotterywest games, in the last five years 90 grants have been provided to the City of Bayswater (where Bedford Pharmacy is located) and community organisations within the City. These grants have totalled over $4 million.

There are three chances to win big this week with the OZ Lotto $10 million jackpot, Powerball’s $8 million jackpot and Superdraw Saturday where $20 million is up for grabs.

Tickets are available until 6pm the day of the draw from Lotterywest in-store, online or through the app.
