39 year Lotto wait finally over

After playing the same numbers for 39 years, an Eaton man has finally matched the numbers to a Division One prize.

The ticket from Eaton Fair Lottery Centre and News was one of four Division one tickets sold in Saturday Lotto’s draw on 26 September.

The man in his 50’s said he’s glad he stayed loyal to his special numbers despite little success before his $511,000 prize.

“The best win I have had before this was $40,” he said.

“When I first looked at the numbers I thought I might have won third or fourth Division,” he said.

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said Saturday’s upcoming draw will be the first to include the exciting improvements.

“From this weekend, Saturday Lotto players have the chance to win a slice of the new and larger estimated $5 million Division One prize pool – an increase from the estimated

$4 million offer,” Ms Compagnone said.

“Due to a change in the combination of winning numbers needed to win Division Six, it will now be easier to win a Saturday Lotto prize.

“The best part is these game improvements don’t change the way the game is played or how they win Division One.

“There is no need to change your favourite numbers or update your registration details.”
