The numbers to know for tonight’s $60 million Powerball jackpot

Melbourne Cup might be over for another year, but jackpot fever will grip the nation today with only hours until an incredible $60 million Powerball jackpot is drawn.

It’s the third largest jackpot the game has offered this year and is the result of no one Australia-wide being able to match the winning numbers for the last seven weeks.

To take home tonight’s multi-million dollar Division One prize pool a ticket entry needs to hold seven winning numbers plus the Powerball.

While Powerball is a random game of chance and every number has an equal chance of being drawn, Lotterywest can reveal some of this year’s luckiest and even unluckiest numbers.

“For barrel A where seven winning numbers are drawn from 35, the most popular number has been 32 drawn 12 times, and number 25 drawn nine times,” said Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone.

“Meanwhile the number 12 has been drawn the least at two times, followed by 26 and 11 each drawn three times.

“Finally, the luckiest Powerball this year has been 3 drawn four times.”

So far this year, 14 ticket entries have held a Division One Powerball prize worth a combined $284 million.

This included a single mother of two from WA who picked up $20 million win in March.

Lotterywest said with close to half a million tickets set to be sold across the State in tonight’s draw, players are encouraged to get their tickets early.

Tickets for tonight’s $60 million Powerball jackpot are available until 6pm from Lotterywest in-store, online or through the app.

Thanks to those who purchase Lotterywest tickets, the Powerball jackpot roll has also raised more than $10 million to help build a better WA through Lotterywest grants.
