Forget Mondayitis, Bull Creek beats Lotto odds

One lucky Western Australian will be waking up a millionaire, winning the only Division One prize nationwide from last night’s Monday Lotto draw.

The winning ticket is worth $1 million and was sold at the Lucky Charm Bull Creek.

Store manager Olivia Marshall, was overjoyed to hear the store had made its first millionaire since taking over the business in November last year.

“We said we’d have a Division One prize before the end of the year – and well, we’ve done it!” she said.

“We’ve got lovely regular customers so I’m hoping it’ll be one of them.

“This is certainly a good sign of things to come.”

Whilst the Monday millionaire remains a mystery, the countdown has begun for the biggest Lotto event of the year - the $30 million Megadraw on Saturday 29 December.

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said WA had been averaging more than one Division One win per week in 2018.

“We’ve been able to give the life changing news of a Division One win to 53 winners so far this year,” she said.

“Lotterywest is unique and when you play our games, the money stays in WA,” she added.

Tickets for the Megadraw are available until 6pm draw day from Lotterywest in-store, online or through the app.
