A Wanneroo couple’s 35-year wait has paid off, after claiming their $20 million OZ Lotto prize.
The ticket from Hocking News matched the seven winning numbers to Tuesday night’s $20 million OZ Lotto prize.
“I’ve been playing for the past 35 years,” the winner said.
“I knew someone from WA had won and I thought to myself ‘who was that lucky person’?
“The chance to cut back at work is wonderful, but my priority is to give money to charity, we are now in a position to help other people.”
Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said the win is WA’s 51st Division One prize for 2023.
“More than $163 million in Division One prizes have been shared with WA players” Mr Mooney said.
“It would be amazing to celebrate another $20 million WA winner this week following Thursday’s Powerball jackpot.”
Tickets are available from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app until 6pm draw day.
