COVID-19 Relief Fund

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the State Government, through Lotterywest, allocated all profits of the Lottery (up to $159 million) directly into the COVID-19 Relief Fund.

This Fund has been assisting the Western Australian community through COVID-19 and responding to the impacts of the crisis on individual and community wellbeing through targeted and impactful community grants.

The COVID-19 Relief Fund is planned to close at 5.00pm, Wednesday 30 June 2021. Grant making will continue under the Lotterywest Healthway Community Investment Framework from 1 July 2020.

Between March 2020 and May 2021, we’re proud to have supported 810 grants totalling over $125 million.

Community Investment Framework

The Community Investment Framework is Lotterywest and Healthway’s grant making strategy that was in operation before creation of the COVID-19 Relief Fund.

This Framework sets out how both organisations have been focussing on outcomes through five key priority areas to build a better and a healthier WA.

The Framework underpins the delivery of the COVID-19 Relief Fund.
