Collecting your prize

So you've won a prize... First of all, congrats!

Now that it’s time for you to collect, here’s some information on how it works.

Collecting a prize up to and including $500?
Prizes up to and including $500 can be collected from any Lotterywest store if you have purchased a physical ticket. For online, self-serve kiosk or app purchases, your winnings will be paid directly into your e-wallet or nominated financial account.

Collecting a prize over $500?
For physical ticket purchases, these winnings can be claimed at Lotterywest Head Office during office hours, or from our payout centre at Doogues Newsagency in the Murray Street Mall, Perth. Lotterywest can pay up to $2,000 via EFTPOS and Doogues can pay prizes over $500 via cheque. Alternatively, prizes can be paid directly into your bank account when you provide your BSB and account number. Unfortunately we are unable to pay prizes in cash. For online, self-serve kiosk or app purchases, your winnings will be paid directly into your e-wallet or nominated financial account. 

Collecting a Division 1 or top prize?

Top prizes must be claimed at Lotterywest Head Office during office hours. All Division 1 and 1st Prizes are subject to a 14 day validation period. To claim a Division 1 or 1st Prize, you must present at Lotterywest head office within twelve months of the draw. Bring with you a printout of the details of the winning entry and information which will confirm your identity and place of residence.

Scratch'n'Win prizes
Make sure you read the play instructions on the back of the ticket to check for each game. This will help you identify if you're a winner! If you're not sure if your ticket has won a prize, visit us in-store to use a ticket checker or ask the retailer to check for you. They'll scan the ticket barcode, which will instantly advise if your ticket is a winner. Alternatively they can call Lotterywest to verify your win if they're unable to scan the Scratch'n'Win ticket. 

Can't get to a Lotterywest store to collect your prize?
If you're unable to visit a Lotterywest store or our head office to collect a prize, please print out and complete the Prize Payment Form and post it with the original ticket/s to: Lotterywest, Locked Bag 66, SUBIACO WA 6904.

What happens to unclaimed prizes?
Unclaimed prizes are returned to the WA community through Lotterywest grants. Under the Lotteries Commission Act, 1990, prizes can only be claimed and paid for up to 12 months after the date of the draw, or in the case of Scratch'n'Win, up to 12 months after the last ticket of the game was issued by Lotterywest for sale.

Ensure you don't miss out on winnings
The benefit of being a Lotterywest member is that when you purchase a physical ticket in-store, prizes are automatically paid into your nominated bank account after 35 days. For Lotterywest members that purchase tickets online or via the self-serve kiosk or app, winnings are automatically paid into your e-wallet or nominated financial account.
