This year’s IGA Perth Royal Show is just around the corner and looking better than ever before. Organised by the Royal Agricultural Society of WA, Lotterywest is proud to have provided a grant towards costs to support volunteers, and to enable disadvantaged community members access to the Show.
From cuddly animal nurseries to exquisite food tastings and remarkable firework shows, it’s safe to say there’s something for everyone. Here at Lotterywest, we’ve selected the top five things you won’t want to miss:
1. Dance of the Drones, presented by Lotterywest
Art and technology come together for an extraordinary performance. Presented in the Main Arena and surrounded by neon lights, 40 Australian dancers intertwine with Intel Shooting Star Drones to provide an unforgettable experience. It’s a must-see event and will be held every evening at 7.15pm during the Show.
2. Fireworks Spectacular, presented by Lotterywest
The Fireworks Spectacular display is famous for lighting up the Show every year and is certainly a visitor favourite. Captivating audiences with a magnificent performance filled with an assortment of colour, music and effects, the Fireworks Spectacular will keep the whole family entertained. It really is the perfect way to finish off a fun and eventful day at the Show!
3. Walk Through WA
Showcasing the diversity of Western Australia, Walk Through WA is an exhibition which allows people to have a unique and engaging farming experience. Not only does it give families the opportunity to be educated on WA’s agricultural practices, Walk Through WA allows visitors to get involved in a variety of activities.
Gold panning and detecting stations, samplings and tastings of WA’s newest produce as well as presentations by industry experts at Talk Through WA and cooking demonstrations are just some of the exhibits you can expect at Walk Through WA – an exciting way to learn about the agriculture and nature of our State!
4. Taste WA
After a successful inaugural event in 2016, Taste WA is back and is the perfect place to be for all food lovers. Designed to showcase the best of the best in WA food and beverages, Taste WA gives foodies the chance to indulge in products from award winning producers of the Perth Royal Food Awards.
5. PETstock Animal Nursery
If you haven’t fed a baby goat, pet a baby lamb or cuddled a fluffy bunny, you can change that by going to the PETstock animal nursery. Allowing visitors to get up close and personal with the animals, PETstock animal nursery is where you will get to find and meet some of the cutest stars of the Show! Whilst you’re there, why don’t you try give goat-milking a go?
