The wait is over: WA delivers a trifecta of Lotto wins

Western Australia has kicked off the year with a 1st Prize Set for Life winner – who will take home $20,000 every month for the next 20 years – and two Division 1 wins in Saturday night’s Lotto draw.

The winning Set for Life ticket was purchased from The Gallery of Claremont.

Owner of the Claremont store Jonathan Decent said he’d been waiting patiently for his first big win.

“We’ve had the kiosk for five years and finally we’ve cracked a huge win,” Mr Decent said.

“Our positivity and big grins have finally paid off,” he added.

“This is a life changing prize for someone and I wish them all the very best.”

Set for Life has delivered four 1st Prize wins over the last week – with WA joining the fold over the weekend.

Since the game was launched in 2015, six WA players have picked up a Set for Life 1st Prize – sharing in almost $29 million of prize money.

WA’s Saturday night winners – who each won $592,528 – bought their winning tickets from newsXpress Bunbury Forum and Palmyra Supa News.

Lotterywest is waiting to hear from all three weekend winners.

One third of every dollar spent on Lotterywest games is returned to the community – so even if you don’t win, the WA community does.

“Thanks to locals playing games like Set for Life and Saturday Lotto, last financial year we were able to return over $265 million to the State,” Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said.

“These funds help to support WA’s hospitals, sporting and arts groups, as well as hundreds of not-for-profit organisations,” she added.

Set for Life draws take place every night of the week, 365 days of the year. If won, there are up to four guaranteed 1st Prizes of $20,000 a month for 20 years in every Set for Life draw.
