Seven years of the same numbers pays off for Mid West winners

A very excited Mid West family are the official winners of the $585,827 Division 1 Saturday Lotto prize purchased through Lotterywest Play Online.

The man was actually away when his numbers came up and after eventually checking his Play Online account, he couldn’t believe that the numbers he’d been playing for the past seven years had finally struck him the big one.

“I nearly fell over when I saw how much I’d won! I couldn’t sleep a wink that night,” said the winner.

“This is the sort of thing that you dream about, it’s absolutely awesome.”

The family’s Lotto windfall has meant they’re now able to pay off their mortgage, retire earlier than planned and go travelling.

“We’ve had some bad luck in our lives and always worked hard so this win makes us feel as though there really is justice in life. This proves that you get back what you put out,” they said.

Lotterywest is still waiting to hear from WA’s other Division 1 winner from last weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw. The winning ticket was sold at The Mezz News in Mount Hawthorn.

Not only do WA’s Lotto winners have a reason to celebrate after a draw;  the local community has too with a third of what players spend on Lotterywest Games supporting the WA community.

Local groups to receive Lotterywest support include the City of Greater Geraldton which received a $176,709 Lotterywest Grant in February. These funds were used towards the development of a youth centre precinct in Mullewa, which will be utilised as a gathering place for young people and families.

$10 million Powerball jackpot tonight!

There’s another chance for WA players to become a Division 1 winner, with tonight’s Powerball jackpotting to $10 million!
