Garden City Lottery Centre owner-operator Mary experiences Mother’s Day almost every day of the year, working alongside her four children since becoming a retailer 12 years ago.
Spending additional time with her ‘greatest treasures’ is what she enjoys most about working together.
“It can be challenging at times but provided those challenges are discussed openly and frankly, there is always a successful resolution,” she says.
Their customers are also part of the family.
“The most pleasurable part of being a retailer is establishing enduring relationships with customers."
After all these years, Mary and her kids continue to have an excellent working relationship and remain a close-knit family.
They’ll be spending Mother’s Day at home together this year.
