Could you be the Woodvale millionaire?

Western Australia is home to another millionaire after a ticket from Woodvale matched the winning numbers in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw.

While Lotterywest also prepares for tonight’s $40 million Powerball draw, attention has turned to who the owner of a ticket from Woodvale Boulevard Newsagency could be.

The unclaimed ticket which is worth $1 million, is the 62nd Division One prize for WA this year.

Owner of Woodvale Boulevard Newsagency, Chris Foley, said the news has sent a buzz throughout the store.

“I was in the car on the way home last night when I heard the news on the radio,” he said.

“Lucky I didn’t drive off the road, but it’s been great to see so many players coming in to check their tickets.

“If you bought a Wednesday Lotto ticket from our store, please get on down to check it because you never know.”

The winnings numbers are 40, 32, 24, 8, 4, and 42.

Lotterywest spokesperson, James Mooney, said while the search for Wednesday’s winner goes on, WA players have another opportunity in tonight’s Powerball draw.

“We’re expecting more than 23,000 tickets to be sold in our busiest hour for tonight’s $40 million Powerball draw,” Mr Mooney said.

“Tonight, could see WA surpass its current 2021 Division One prize record of $30 million.

“That record is currently held from February, which saw a couple from Perth’s north claim the $30 million prize thanks to their ticket bought from Major Luck Lottery Centre.”
