Saturday Lotto’s $1.7 million prize is set to be shared between ten ticketholders, with the weekend’s Division One prize created from a syndicate.
One of the syndicate owners, a couple in their 50’s, discovered the good news thanks to an early morning phone call from their local retailer, Ruben’s News.
“We were in bed on Sunday morning discussing how we planned to sort out some bills when the phone rang,” the winner said.
“After being told our ticket was a Division One prize, my beverage choice of a morning coffee soon turned into something more celebratory.”
Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said it was wonderful knowing the $1.7 million prize will be shared with multiple players.
“It’s great to see the joy of a win shared, especially in a tight-knit community like Collie,” Mr Mooney said.
“Our attention has now turned to Saturday’s $20 million Superdraw, with fingers and toes crossed that we can celebrate even more WA winners.”
Tickets for Saturday Lotto’s $20 million Superdraw draw are available from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app until 6pm draw day.
