Cheque prize payments transition to EFT

If you’re registered to receive your prize winnings via cheque, we encourage you to provide your bank details. Lotterywest provides prize payments via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), which transfers payment directly into your bank account when you win.

Why the change? Lotterywest similar to many other Government organisations such as Medicare and the ATO have replaced cheque payments with EFT.

Received a letter? If you’re a Lotterywest member you may have already received a form in the post. Please be assured your details will be kept confidential and secure.

Benefits include:

  • Secure payment method
  • Quick and instantaneous payments
  • Better transparency and tracking of transactions

What you need to do: Call our Customer Services team on 133 777 who will be able to assist you.

Already provided your information? Thank you, we'll update your account as soon as possible.

Do you have any questions? Click here for frequently asked questions and answers, or give us a call on 133 777. For more information on EFT, please contact your local bank.

Under the Unclaimed Money Act (1990), monies that have been held by an organisation for 6 years without being successfully returned to the rightful owner are deemed to be unclaimed and are held with the Department of Treasury and Finance.

We’re attempting to return unclaimed money in Lotterywest accounts to their owners. If we cannot get in contact with owners these funds will be transferred to the Department of Treasury and Finance Unclaimed Money Register.

We are simplifying memberships to make things easier for our customers. Bank payments are faster, safer and more reliable. To ensure we can pay your prizes, your bank account details are needed as a default prize payment method.

We’re updating how memberships and prize payments work to improve safety, compliance and your experience.
