A pensioner who recently had a dream that she would win Lotto has had her dream come true after she took home a share in Saturday Lotto’s Division One prize.
The woman, in her 60s, won just over $1 million and said she bought her ticket, from The Lucky Lottery Centre in Booragoon, “on a whim”.
“I usually only buy tickets with larger prizes like OZ Lotto and Powerball but I felt a bit richer on Saturday so bought a Saturday Lotto one,” she said.
“When I had a dream of winning $900,000 a couple of months ago, it has always been in the back of my mind.”
From the southern suburbs, the woman said she was currently renting and would buy her own home and a car.
“Also, when I can, I’ll save some to go and see family over east,” she said.
Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman said WA had had a great start to 2021.
“We’ve had six Division One winners so far this year and it’s not even February,” she said.
“Tonight’s Powerball is offering $20 million so make sure you grab a ticket to be in with a chance.”
Thanks to those that purchase Lotterywest tickets, all available profits are returned to support the community.
