WA’s $2.8 million Lotto winner still out there

Tomorrow night’s $10 million Saturday Lotto Special Event comes just a week after Western Australia produced a multi-million dollar winner.

The ticket, worth more than $2.8 million from last weekend’s Superdraw, is unregistered, meaning Lotterywest must wait for the winner to contact head office to claim their prize.

“It’s times like these we encourage people to dig deep into that glove box, or rummage through that pile of overlooked paperwork and see if it’s them,” Lotterywest spokesperson Sam Clark said.

“While the winner may just be waiting for the right time to come forward, this is a great opportunity to remind players if they have a ticket from Wanneroo Winners Kiosk in Wanneroo, check it!”

Tomorrow’s draw will be the fourth time that the $10 million Special Event has run, with each previous draw having produced one WA winner totalling prizes of almost $6 million.

Mr Clark said Lotterywest expected close to half a million tickets to be sold in the draw across the State.

“That’s one in four West Aussies who will buy a ticket and nearly 400 will be sold every minute during its busiest period between 10am and 11am tomorrow, so make sure to beat the rush,” he said.

Tickets are available from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app until 6pm tomorrow.
